🇫🇷 Cette exposition explore la relation entre humains et non-humains vivants dans la ville de Luxembourg à travers l’art, l'architecture et l'urbanisme.
Prenant comme point de départ les espaces verts de la LUGA 2025, « Lisières vivantes : vers une architecture de la cohabitation » dresse une cartographie des animaux et des plantes présents dans la ville de Luxembourg pour révéler les « seuils » où les humains se rencontrent avec la flore et la faune.
Elle présente également une série de projets d'art et d’architecture qui considèrent la présence d’autres espèces dans l’espace urbain comme une opportunité pour concevoir des villes plus résilientes. Loin de les traiter comme des nuisances, cette exposition invite les visiteurs à percevoir les animaux, les plantes et les organismes vivants comme ce qu'ils ont toujours été : nos cohabitants urbains.

🇬🇧 Living Thresholds : Towards Cohabitation in Architectural Design
This exhibition explores the relationship between human and non-human living beings in Luxembourg city through architecture, urban planning, and art.
Taking LUGA 2025’s green spaces as a starting point, “Living Thresholds : Towards Cohabitation in Architectural Design” maps the city’s animals and plants cartographically, revealing places of encounter between humans, flora and fauna.
Alongside these local “thresholds”, it also presents a series of architectural and art projects, ones which recognise the presence of other species as design opportunities to make our cities more resilient. Far from considering them as nuisances, the exhibition invites viewers to perceive animals, plants, and other living organisms as what they have always been : our urban cohabitants.
